WELCOME TO MY DESIGNS GALLERY!

All of these pages have been created using my designs. Please enjoy!

Here's a layout I made for the 2009 February/March Color Swatch Challenge at Eidou; I created a mini kit based on a predetermined set of colors, with papers in both 12x12 and 8.5x11 sizes.

These two pages were created using the kit My Ol' Saddle Blanket. The background is one single photo of El Capitan that I enlarged and cropped into 8.5 x 22, then cut that in half to create the two pages. I then applied a Dry Brush filter (Adobe PSE 2.0) to give the background a painted look. The deckled photo mats are not in the kit, but if you'd like them, email me at info@sondra-scraps.com, and I'll be glad to send you some.

The background for these two pages is actually the one photo of the church, cropped and enlarged to 8.5x22 and then halved to make the two pages. As above, I applied a filter to distort the lights of the church and the dark background. No kit was used to create these pages; I cropped my photos to 3.5x5 and then resized the canvas to 3.6x5.1. I then flattened the photo layer, and this added a small white mat to give contrast to the background.

The background for these two pages was created by simply typing out my son's school supply list and arranging it in a pattern on a white background. Then I pulled the color from his t-shirt and used a bevel to fashion some photo corners.

These two pages were created by my son. Again the background is made from one photo, cropped and enlarged to 8.5x22 and then halved to make the two pages. He used the Dry Brush filter, and I think the result is remarkable!

No kits were used to create either of these pages. For both, the background photos were first cropped and enlarged to 8.5x11. I applied filters to distort them, but for the photo on the left, I placed another layer just over the people in the photo so they would not be as distorted. I then created a white mat for the smaller photo (see instructions above).

I dearly love my son's first grade teacher and wanted to create paper that had New Mexican flair...lots of bold colors and a little bit of grunge...for the photo on the left. The result was Paper Panache Pack 1, and both of these pages are created with sheets from that pack.

For our vacation this summer, we went with family to SeaWorld. I needed some papers and elements, so I've created a kit called SeaPark...I know--real original, huh?

That's the one thing bad about digital...you can save your original page in layers and always go back play with it! We live near a lake, and every time I pass by it, I look at the water and the reflections. I decided that I had the first layout (on the left) all wrong. The reflection should be distorted, and to show the surface of the water (a 90 degree angle from the butterfly) the reflection should be shorter, right? The page on the right is another attempt at learning reflections.

Isn't scrapbooking about telling your story? And funny stories too? The joke on the left is one of those that you write down, post on the fridge, and chuckle about every time you open the door...so I scrapped it! I went to the internet to find photos with good resolution to use on my page, used a bow and ribbon from Doxie Designs and a stick pin from "Stick Pinz - Basic" by Katie Pertiet, and my great grandchildren can now learn a little about what made me laugh.

On the right is a photo I took of a toilet (yes, I really did!) to document a story that my husband and I find comical. And by a stroke of luck, a "mistake" I made showed me how to covert the photo to something which looks Andy Warhol-ish. And warping the text into circles I think gave the story "movement." I know! Blah! Sorry, I couldn't resist!
